On Saturday, 12 September 2026, the TOKAN Foundation team delivered back-to-school supplies to children across four of the children’s correctional centres we support in Lagos:

📍 Children’s Correctional Centre for Girls (CCCG), Idi-Araba - 45 beneficiaries

📍 Special Correctional Centre for Girls (SCCG), Idi-Araba over 20 beneficiaries

📍 Correctional Centre for Junior Boys (CCJB), Birrel - 28 beneficiaries

📍 Correctional Centre for Senior Boys (CCSB), Isheri - over 20 beneficiaries

Ahead of the delivery, each centre was asked to submit the items specifically needed by the children, allowing us to tailor the support to their immediate requirements. The supplies delivered included stationery, toiletries, school bags, school shoes, sandals, shoe polish, belts, underwear, socks, wristwatches, slippers, and hostel wear for children in boarding school.

Our education support for the new session is already underway. Payment of school and lesson fees, the purchase of school books and other essential educational needs have commenced for our beneficiaries across secondary institutions.

However, there is still much to be done, and donations and support of any amount are warmly welcomed as we continue working to meet the educational needs of more children.
